Critical Care is a peer-reviewed clinical medical research and review journal that aims to improve the care of critically ill patients by acquiring, discussing and promoting evidence-based information that is relevant to all intensive/critical care staff.

Critical Care publishes commentaries, reviews, original research, and reports on books and websites relevant to all aspects of intensive/critical care. Commentaries are opinion-led articles written by specialists in the field to highlight and expand on topical issues. Reviews provide comprehensive, educational and authoritative descriptions of any aspect of health care relevant to the journal's scope.
