 Submitting your Manuscript
Publishing your research in BioMed Central’s journals is simple and efficient. You will be guided through the submission process step by step and can interrupt this at any time and carry on where you left off via My BioMed Central.
To begin the submission of your manuscript choose which of our 185 peer-reviewed journals across biology and medicine you wish to submit your research to. Visit our journal overview page, which lists the different types of BioMed Central journal, to help you to choose the right journal for your research or you can choose from the list in the box below.
What you will need to complete the submission of your manuscript
- Email addresses of all authors.
- Name, email addresses and affiliations of four possible peer reviewers for your manuscript: none of them should be in the same institution as yourself or have been co-authors with any of the authors of your manuscript within the past five years.
- Correctly formatted manuscript (see 'Quick Instructions for Authors' or the detailed Instructions for Authors that are available by choosing a journal within the drop-down box at the top of this page).
- Correctly formatted figures in one of the acceptable formats (see 'Quick Instructions for Authors' or the detailed Instructions for Authors that are available by choosing a journal within the drop-down box at the top of this page).
- Compliance with editor's policies (see 'Quick Instructions for Authors' or the detailed Instructions for Authors that are available by choosing a journal within the drop-down box at the top of this page).
- Cover letter that explains why the journal should consider your manuscript and declares any competing interest.
