Publish your meeting abstracts with BioMed Central
BioMed Central publishes a wide range of journals, most of which publish meeting abstracts as online supplements. Abstracts are available in fully searchable text formats and printable PDF documents, and are freely available online.
Online publication can be a very effective means of making abstracts from your meeting available to the scientific community, and provides an excellent way to expose your meeting to a wide audience. The publication of meeting/conference abstracts promotes communication and collaboration between researchers and can help to prevent duplication of work. Abstracts may be published before or after a meeting.
Each abstract published by BioMed Central has a unique citation and is also given a unique url in order that it can be easily located on the Internet. Supplement titles are listed in PubMed (though please note that PubMed does not list individual abstracts).
The major benefits of publishing abstracts with BioMed Central are:
- Increased awareness of your conference through free global access to abstracts.
- Each abstract is given a unique citation.
- An individual url is allocated to each abstract allowing links to be forwarded by email and making abstracts easily and quickly accessible via the Internet.
- Abstracts are fully searchable and browseable.
BioMed Central can also arrange to produce printed copies of abstract supplements bound in journal covers for distribution at your meeting. Please note that charges apply for both online and printed supplement publication.
Please read about how to publish meeting abstracts with BioMed Central, and contact us for a discussion about your project and a quotation.
