How to have the abstracts of your meeting published
BMC Abstracts Service
Online publication can be a very effective means of making abstracts from your meeting available to the scientific community, and provides an excellent way to promote your meeting to a wide audience. Each abstract included in BioMed Central has a unique citation. Abstracts are fully searchable and are made freely available online. Each abstract is also given a unique url in order that they can be easily located on the Internet. Abstracts may be published before or after a meeting. [Browse abstracts]
Acceptance policy
Acceptance is at the discretion of BioMed Central's Editorial Directors. A decision is made on the basis of sample abstracts, the meeting program and its suitability for publication within BioMed Central. Meeting organizers are required to confirm that abstracts presented for publication have been reviewed and selected as suitable for publication.
Submitted abstracts should be a maximum of 400 words long, clearly and concisely written, and structured where appropriate. BioMed Central retains the right to reject any submissions which do not meet the required standard.
Currently, we can only accept abstracts written in English, and supplied electronically.
If you wish to publish your meeting abstracts with BioMed Central please email for a quotation, including the following information about the meeting:
- Full contact details (name, address, telephone, fax and email address)
- Title, date and place of meeting
- Program
- Expected number of delegates
- Expected number of abstracts
