A short biography
Antonin Bukovsky graduated from the Charles University,
Prague, Czech Republic,
and subsequently worked as a clinician in the
regional hospital. On becoming a registrar in
obstetrics and gynecology, he took a research
medical post with the Institute for the Care of
Mother and Child, Prague, where he studied the
involvement of the immune system in the regulation
of ovarian function. After 15 years, he was offered
a research post at the University of Tennessee
Graduate School of Medicine, USA. In 2001, he
founded the Laboratory for Development, Differentiation
and Cancer, which is linked to the Department
of Obstetrics and Gynecology UT G.S.M. and affiliated
to the open access journal, Reproductive Biology
and Endocrinology.
