Aim of conference
Open access to the results of scientific and medical research has potential to play an important role in international development. This conference discussed the benefits of open access publishing in an African context, from the perspective of both readers seeking access to information, and researchers seeking to globally communicate the results of their work.
The conference brought together researchers, librarians and funding bodies, who discussed the benefits of open access publishing in an African context.
