Anatomy, development, plasticity and repair

This section is dedicated to covering brain anatomy, development, plasticity and repair. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, neurodevelopment, neural activity, synapse formation, stem cells, blood flow in the brain and neurobehavioural genetics.

Cellular and molecular mechanisms

This section covers all aspects of cellular and molecular neuroscience. Topics of interest are widespread and include, but are not limited to, neurotransmitters, neuropsychopharmacology, cell signaling, neurophysiology and glial development.

Cognition and behavior: behavioral neurogenetics

This section covers all aspects of neurogenetics, including, but not limited to, animal models of neurobehavioral genetics.

Cognition and behavior: in vitro or in vivo brain repair

This section covers topics in the field of brain repair in both human and animal models. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, neurotrauma and repair, neuropharmacology, pathophysiology, and rehabilitation.

Cognition and behavior: learning and behavior

This section covers all aspects of behavior and learning in human models. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, neurolinguistics, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and electrophysiology. This section also covers all aspects of neuroimaging including MRI and fMRI.

Computational and theoretical neuromodeling

This section is focused on all aspects of computational and theoretical neuromodeling. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, computational neuroscience, theoretical neuroscience and nonlinear dynamics, and neural networks.

Neurobiology of disease

This section covers the neurobiological aspects of diseases that can affect the brain. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, neurodegenerative pathophysiology, neurogenesis and experimental brain research. Diseases range across neurodegeneration, demyelinating conditions, ischemia and spinal cord conditions.

Sensory systems

This section deals with sensory functions and sensory processing. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, gustatory and olfactory signal transduction, chemosensory circuits, phototransduction and auditory neurophysiology.
