Chaperone use during intimate examinations in primary care: postal survey of family physicians David H Price, C Shawn Tracy, Ross EG Upshur BMC Family Practice 2005, 6:52 (21 December 2005) A survey of family physicians in Ontario reveals that chaperone use during intimate examinations is more frequent for female patients; male physician sex and availability of a nurse were significantly associated with chaperone use.
