Inhibition of Nodal signaling in zebrafish embryos. A zebrafish embryo treated at 3 h post fertilization with a bioactive inhibitor of the Nodal receptors (SB-505124) shows a complete deficiency in the formation of mesoderm and endoderm in the head and trunk regions,
resulting in severe cyclopia at 24 h post fertilization.
