Image of the Month – April 2006

Expression of the transcription factor LHX7 in chicken embryos. In situ hybridization showed that cLHX7 is expressed in developing chicken embryos (at Hamburger-Hamilton stages HH18 and HH23) during formation of the primary palate. max, maxillary primordia; man, mandibular primordia; mnp, medial nasal process.
