dMP1 co-localizes with Corto on polytene chromosomes
The Drosophila scaffold protein, dMP1, forms signaling complexes with the MAP kinase ERK. dMP1 co-localizes with Corto, a chromatin regulator, on polytene chromosomes during Drosophila wing tissue development suggesting a role for the dMP1-ERK-Corto complex in gene regulation by direct binding to chromatin. Immunostaining of polytene chromosomes with rabbit anti-Corto antibodies (red) and guinea-pig anti-dMP1 antibodies (green). DNA was stained with DAPI (blue). The co-localization of dMP1 and Corto can be seen by overlapping red and green signals.
