Brain architecture in the terrestrial hermit crab, Coenobita clypeatus
The protocerebrum and median deutocerebrum of the hermit crab brain are visualized by confocal laser scan microscopy. Double-labeled sections show regions of synapsin immunoreactivity (red) and RFamide-like immunoreactivity (green). Areas of overlapping signal are in yellow. This month features a guest image which was recently published in BMC Neuroscience.
