Confocal image of GFAP expression in cultured glial cells.
Glial cells in primary culture display immunoreactivity to Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) antibodies, shown in purple. Despite being cultured from transgenic rat embryos expressing enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP) under the the ubiquitin-C (Ubi-C) promoter, glial cells do not express the transgene. This month features a guest image which was recently published in BMC Neuroscience.
