Image of the Month - June 2007

Hook2 participating in aggresome formation.
Immunostaining of kidney epithelial cells for Hook2 shows that it partially colocalizes with dynein and that the two proteins accumulate in an aggresome, an aggregation of misfolded proteins, chaperones and proteasomes. Staining for cytoplasmic dynein is shown in green, and for hook2 in purple.
