Gap junctions in the ovary of Drosophila melanogaster.
To enable a localization of innexins to gap junctions and elucidate their role in the early stages of fly development, cell types and membrane regions were first visualized in a stage-10b follicle. Nuclei (blue) were stained with DAPI and F-actin (red) was stained with rhodaminylphalloidin.
