Every month, BMC Cell Biology features an image from a previously published article as Image of the Month. Publish an article in BMC Cell Biology and your image could be featured on this page.

Image of the Month - June 2008

Xyloglucan cell wall polysaccharide in a pea stem vascular bundle.
In a transverse section of a pea stem vascular bundle, the unmasked xyloglucan epitope occurs most abundantly in cell walls of the phloem region (top center of image) and cells surrounding the protoxylem (bottom center). Indirect immunofluorescence shows LM15 xyloglucan epitopes (LM15 monoclonal antibody, yellow/green FITC), and this was combined with Calcofluor staining of all cell walls (blue). This month features a guest image which was recently published in BMC Plant Biology.
