Masahiro Fuji is Head of the Division of Virology at Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences and is both a past author with BioMed Central and an Associate Editor on the journal Retrovirology. He is currently working on research into the human T-cell leukemia virus type 1.

What prompted you to submit an article to Retrovirology? The impressive status of the journal, its impact factor and relevant to my field of research.
