What prompted you to submit an article?

The idea of accepting a manuscript and publishing the article the same day was exciting to me.

What was your assessment of the electronic submission and peer review process?

The electronic submission is simple and straightforward, and I consider the review process very fast and objective.

What do you think you gained from publishing in an open access journal?

Publishing in an open access journal afforded me the opportunity to interact with the scientific community regarding my research activities. This would not have been possible without open access. It is also exciting and helpful that waivers are granted to those of us from developing countries.

I am currently working on:
1. Quality of life after surgical/non-surgical tooth extraction.
2. Necessity for blood transfusion in cleft lip and palate surgery.
3. Ultrasound diagnosis of maxillofacial fractures.
