Igor Jurisica
PhD, University of Toronto
Igor's research focuses on integrative computational biology, and representation, analysis and visualization of high dimensional data generated by high-throughput biology experiments. Of particular interest is the use of comparative analysis in the mining of different dataset types such as protein-protein interaction, identifying prognostic and predictive expression signatures (e.g., gene, protein, microRNA), and high-throughput screens for protein crystallization.
Igor supports open access and open data, as that is the most effective approach to advancing science. His research also benefits from open computing resources, such as World Community Grid.
