What prompted you to submit a paper to a BioMed Central journal?
We are obviously entering an age where communication will rule human life. The concept of "online publishing and free access to medical journals" therefore represents the future. I believe that online publishing and free access to medical research material will not only change the structure of the current publication processes but also will change and enhance post-graduate education facilities for medical doctors. From this point of view, "open access journal" projects make me excited.
What was your assessment of the electronic submission and peer review process?
The electronic submission and peer review process was fast, yet reliable.
What do you think you gained from publishing in an open access journal?
I gained my most valuable property, "time".
