Grzegorz Wegrzyn

Grzegorz Wegrzyn is Head of Department of Molecular Biology, University of Gdansk and a Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Geography and Oceanology at the University of Gdansk.

What prompted you to submit an article?

There were several reasons:

• Very rapid process of reviewing and publishing
• Free access to published papers
• High standard of published papers
• No restrictions on length of articles and number of figures and tables

What was your assessment of the electronic submission and peer review process?

I am very enthusiastic about electronic submission and review process. This is quick, cheap and very effective.

What do you think you gained from publishing in an open access journal?

The most important thing is that my article is freely available for anybody who is interested in it. This is a very important benefit.
