MeSHOP similarity scores were calculated using L2 distance, but were corrected as described in the text to account for background annotation levels. The degree of drug annotation, measured as the total number of distinct MeSH terms associated with a drug, is no longer correlated (Pearson correlation score of 0.05) once corrected.
