Relation of metabolic reaction and metabolic correlation networks (centrality). Another method of quantifying network similarity uses an individual node parameter, the centrality for comparison of both types of metabolic networks. Computing the similarity of the two networks based upon this parameter, which is the average path length of all shortest paths connecting a node to all other nodes, shows no significant relation between metabolic reaction and correlation networks.
