Demographics of the study group (n = 429) and its subgroups with the different genotypes of the β2-adrenergic receptor polymorphisms. Statistical tests that revealed P-values below 0.1 are in bold. There were significantly lower rates for MI in heterozygous genotypes of Cys-47Arg and the Gln27Glu polymorphisms in spite of the significant older age in the Gln27Glu variant. In addition, there wass also a trend for a lower rate of MI in the heterozygous genotype of the Arg16Gly variation.
