The neglected genome

Thanks for the comprehensive review of some of the modern views and trends in this field. However, I was surprised to not find any mentioning of the second DNA containing organelle in the whole paper. Is this due to the general tendency to neglect the second genome (Pesole et al. EMBO,2012), or have mitochondria and/or their genomes no role for cell size? Cheers.
