English translation of the monitoring instrument for assessing hospitals' clinical risk management. The additional file 1 shows the final monitoring instrument for CRM as developed in this study. It was cross-translated and discrepancies were eliminated. For an application in English-speaking countries it may have to be adjusted to the different healthcare contexts.
