Validation algorithm for 'Present on Admission' (POA) flagging written for SAS™ processing. This SAS™ program evaluates 40 diagnosis fields in routinely coded hospital data to identify those validly flagged as hospital-acquired ('C' in the data used here). Codes refer to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Tenth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM). Fourth ed.
