BMC Clinical Pathology 2012, 12:7Innate immunity markers in soft tissue sarcomas
Increased co-expression of M-CSF and TGF-beta in soft tissue sarcoma, and increased expression of Ki67 in peritumoral capsule are independent negative prognostic factors for survival, suggesting that innate immunity markers may serve as prognosticators in soft tissue sarcomas.

BMC Clinical Pathology 2012, 12:4Role of LAT1/4F2hc levels in glioma
Large-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1) and heavy chain of 4F2 cell surface antigen (4F2hc) are expressed in human gliomas and their expression levels correlate with pathological grade and proliferation, with LAT1 being associated with glioma angiogenesis.

BMC Clinical Pathology 2011, 11:14Dual diagnostic tests on single biopsies

Scope
BMC Clinical Pathology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of histopathology, haematology, clinical biochemistry, and medical microbiology (including virology, parasitology, and infection control).
It is journal policy to publish work deemed by peer reviewers to be a coherent and sound addition to scientific knowledge and to put less emphasis on interest levels, provided that the research constitutes a useful contribution to the field.

Quote
"I strongly believe in the internet and open-access publishing in order to achieve scientific outreach both within academia and outside academia. Open-access allows anyone in the world with access to a computer to access scientific research. These innovative journals are becoming extremely successful and will change the nature of scientific publishing and increase the accessibility of science."
