I searched this topic as I have been puzzled in the euthanasia debate as to why sedation is not an automatic alternative to euthanasia when the latter is desired but not legal. It does not answer the points about being a burden but otherwise to a non-medic appears to have all the advantages and none of the disadvantages. An interesting and informative article.
