SD = standard deviation; DMFS = decayed, missing and filled surfaces of permanent and deciduous teeth; DS = decayed surfaces; MS = missing surfaces; FS = filled surfaces; GI = gingival index. *DMFS, DS, MS, FS, parametric variables were analyzed employing ANOVA. Mean levels were adjusted for age. **GI, a non-parametric variable, was analyzed employing the Mann-Whitney test. Due to differences in age distribution, the test was applied separately for three age groups (<18, 19–40, and >41 years). |
