Mortality after hospitalization for hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome. hyperglycemic
hyperosmolar syndrome was associated with a significantly increased risk of mortality
after renal transplantation (by Cox non-proportional hazards regression analysis,
adjusted hazard ratio = 1.87, 95% CI, 1.22–2.88, p < 0.004). The risk of mortality
after NKHC was roughly constant over time.
