Golgi phosphoprotein 2 (GOLPH2), a potential biomarker for hepatocellular and prostatic carcinomas, is highly expressed in normal renal tubules as well as some renal cell carcinomas, rendering it unsuitable as a biomarker for renal cell cancer.
