Inhibition of B. cinerea development by the accumulating fungitoxic compound in induced tomato leaves. Fungal growth evaluated on the basis of the OD620 nm increase during a 48 h incubation period in the presence of iturine lipopeptide used as positive control (final concentration of 20 μg/ml, Itu), of the crude aglycone extract used for TLC (aliquot corresponding to 50 mg FW leaf tissue, CHE), of the purified antifungal compound detected on TLC used at the same concentration (AC) or diluted three or ten times, and of the remaining material present in the aglycone extract except the antifungal compound (CHE-AC). Data are compared with growth upon addition of the same volume of methanol (control, C Me). Mean values and errors were calculated from data in three independent experiments with eight replicates per treatment.
