Stress responsive gene expression analysis in WT and angustifolia mutant backgrounds. (A): Plants were grown in soil for one week and drought stress was performed by withholding watering the plant for one week. Leaf material was collected from control and drought stress plants and used in RT-PCR expression analysis as detailed in materials and methods. RD29A (drought inducible gene) was used as positive control for stress condition, while Actin was used as internal control for RT-PCR analysis. (B): Quantification of gene expression relative to actin and RD29A transcript in control and drought stress conditions respectively.
