Synteny map of Rgcs1 between mouse and human genomes. The region of Rgcs1 on mouse chromosome 5 is shown along with the relative positions of the 7 candidate
genes. These genes form 2 distinct clusters near the ends of the locus. The majority
of the Rgcs1 locus is represented on human chromosome 4, between 4p15 and 4q21, although a small
segment containing the human HSPB8 gene is located on chromosome 12 at 12q24.
