RPE was isolated from dark-adapted bluegill and, following incubation for 45 minutes in 10 μM forskolin, was incubated an additional 45 minutes in increasing concentrations of arecaidine but-2-ynyl ester tosylate or in a DMSO control. At the end of incubation in forskolin, RPE had a pigment index of 0.72 ± 0.02 (n = 4 fish); the 0.01% DMSO control had a pigment index of 0.69 ± 0.02 (n = 2 fish). | ||
