In the congruent condition frequency and amplitude modulations of electronic sounds represented changes in the relative distance between the wrist joints ("arm cycle", top and second row left) or the ankle joints ("leg-cycle", top and second row right) to the center of the pelvis. Third row: Sound pressure diagram; Fourth row: Spectrogram. Amplitude is color coded with cold / hot colors denoting low / high amplitudes.
