The effect of Shh on motor neurons and motor neuron ciliation. Representative microscopic images show there were more SMI32+ cells (green) co-stained with a cilial marker ACIII (red) in Shh 250 ng/ml treated cell culture (B) than in control culture (A) from mSOD mice. In WT cells, both doses of Shh significantly increased the percentage of motor neurons in culture and significantly increased the percentage of ciliated motor neurons (C- note the different y axes).
