Although there are multiple cell bodies present, only one is shown to be expressing GFAP. B. At earlier time points, GFAP expression is limited due to the culture medium which does not support astrocytic growth. Although there appears to be an increase in GFAP expression as cultures age, cell bodies associated with GFAP expression remain at similar levels, but there is an increase in arborization.
