Subject's medical records were examined, and the positive culture nearest to the date of sample collection for molecular analysis was considered. All thirty (30) subjects except for one (1) subject in the P group had a culture recorded in their medical records. The number of subjects within each group to culture positive for a bacterial genus is listed next to the genus. Many of the subjects were cultured for both aerobes and anaerobes, but the clinical laboratories reported no obligate anaerobes.
