The line drawing was constructed from light micrographs and showing a lobed cell, rows of tiny orange muciferous bodies (small circles), four flagella within ventral groove, a ventral depression (lightly stippled area to the left of the flagella), and four putative primary endosymbionts (large shaded circles).
