Relative growth of Arthrobacter sp. Rue61a and A. aurescens TC1 in the presence of arsenate. Arthrobacter sp. Rue61a (A) and A. aurescens TC1 (B) were grown in half-concentrated LB medium, supplemented with arsenate at the concentrations indicated. The turbidity of the cultures was measured after 24 h and 48 h with a Klett colorimeter, and the turbidity of the culture without arsenate was normalized to 1.
