PubMed Commons is an experimental system of commenting on PubMed abstracts, introduced in October 2013. Comments are displayed on the abstract page, but during the initial closed pilot, only registered users can read or post comments. Any researcher who is listed as an author of an article indexed by PubMed is entitled to participate in the pilot. If you would like to participate and need an invitation, please email, giving the PubMed ID of an article on which you are an author. For more information, see the PubMed Commons FAQ.

Post publication attention

Jing Tu   (2012-03-27 11:29)  Southeast University

It has been brought to our attention post publication that we omitted reference to a previously reported method of paired tagging.

Neiman M, Lundin S, Savolainen P, Ahmadian A (2011) Decoding a Substantial Set of Samples in Parallel by Massive Sequencing. PLoS ONE 6(3): e17785. doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0017785, reports a method of paired tagging that we have missed when we revised:

"we have not found any study which assign a pair of barcodes in NGS to improve the practicability and parallelism in analyzing large-scale multiplexed samples"

We would like to point out that, our manuscript was first submitted to another famous Journal on 15th JAN 2011 , nearly two months before publication of the article above. Even so, we should like to take this opportunity to apologize for less meticulousness in revision and the omission.
