ChIP-qPCR data suggest that RosR binds DNA directly. Relative enrichment ratio is shown for a 100-bp region in the sod2 promoter region in immunoprecipitates (IP) compared to randomly sheared chromosomal DNA (whole cell extract, WCE). Enrichments are compared for the putative VNG0258H transcription factor, empty plasmid (“mock”) and TrmB (a transcription factor known not to bind to the sod2 locus [20]).
