Summary of results for the three cohorts. We do not find the differences in recombination rate or historical hotspot concordance significant. Historical hotspot concordance records the overlap rate of crossovers resolved to 30 kb or better. ‘Randomly placed intervals’ are generated by random perturbations of well-resolved crossovers following a normal distribution (μ = 0; σ = 200 kb). The Mongolian and Korean results were combined to form our Asian genetic map.
