The amino-acid (aa) sequence alignment of Atlantic salmon SCARB1 and the novel paralog,
SCARB1-2. The amino-acid (aa) sequence alignment of Atlantic salmon SCARB1 [NP_001117084] and SCARB1-2 [ADQ20116] shows that the sequences are 89% identical. 26 out of the 51 diverging
aa are non-conservative (black letters in bold on white background), while the rest
are conservative changes (white, underlined letters). Transmembrane domains (TM) are
indicated by the vertical arrows.
