are along the y-axis. In the right column, pie charts are used to illustrate the number
of descriptions before (blue) or after (red) 1923, a benchmark date for US Copyright
law. Notably missing from the analyzed data are the Viruses, for which dates of descriptions
could not be readily identified based on the data in uBio.
