Dashed blue line shows the placement of Anopheles gambiae and Drosophila melanogaster in consensus bootstrap neighbor-joining and Bayesian phylogenetic trees which depict invertebrates as monophyletic and ancestral to the Chordata/Deutrostomia/Vertebrata clade.
