Images in the left column show cells that were fixed in the absence of any drugs to inhibit MLC phosphorylation. Images on the right depict cells fixed after treatment with 10 μM Y27632 to inhibit MLC phosphorylation. Fluorescence from phalloidin (which stains actin filaments) is indicated by red, anti-diphospho-MLC fluorescence by green, DAPI staining of nuclear DNA by blue, yellow indicates co-localization of red and green signal, pink indicates co-localization of red and blue signal.
