* Single oneway ANOVA was applied to the complete set of data to assess whether both the Serial dilution and the LinReg methods give similar averaged efficiencies (H_{0}: efficiencies are equal, H_{1}: efficiencies are different): a pvalue below 0.05 indicates that measured efficiencies are significantly different. **Ftest assessing whether the variance (error) induced by each method is the same [H_{0}: variances are equal, H_{1}: var(serial dilution) > var(LinReg)]: p < 0.001 indicates that the variance obtained with the serial dilution is significantly greater than that of LinReg.
